Needing to get the word out, we contacted a local billboard company to inquire about advertising. At this time, digital printing was just emerging, and although this company had the equipment, they could find no one with the knowledge to teach them how to use it. We agreed to figure it out in exchange for the billboard. We spent many days in that shop creating and printing their billboards and eventually banners and yard signs as word began to spread that large scale digital printing was available locally. Those customers began asking if we could print those same designs on other media such as business cards. This industry was in its infancy as well, but we had already learned so much. We knew we could conquer this, too.
